Halloween-lovers celebrate the end of September, because it signals the beginning of their favorite holiday season. And Granbury starts that season off right with the Sixth Annual Granbury Paranormal Expo. Located in the center of Granbury’s historic downtown square, the Granbury Paranormal Expo is a mix of all things weird and wonderful, bringing together ghost hunters, horror/sci-fi/fantasy fans, cosplayers, and anyone who loves to have a good time.

On September 30 and October 1, spend your weekend in Granbury for plenty of creepy fun. Headlining this year’s roster of special guests is Charlaine Harris, a New York Times best-selling author of the novels that inspired HBO’s True Blood and NBC’s Midnight, Texas. Joining Charlaine Harris as guest speakers will be renowned cryptozoologist Ken Gerhard, Research and Investigation of the Paranormal founder Greg Stephens, and Boni Furusho, a mentor to those who have experienced paranormal phenomena.

Hallie of Hallie’s Heroes will also be a special guest, swabbing visitors and adding them to the National Bone Marrow Registry to help save the lives of those who need bone marrow transplants.

Thanks to the Sixth Annual Granbury Paranormal Expo, you don’t have to wait until the end of October to wear your favorite costume. Cosplay, or dressing in costume, is highly encouraged, and the event will feature many costumed characters and even some movie vehicle replicas to provide numerous photo-ops. On October 1, children ages infant to twelve years old can participate in a children’s cosplay contest sponsored by Heroic Inner Kids, and hosted by Unwrap the Magic Parties & Events.

For those that love the creepy and the kooky, mysterious and spooky, the Granbury Square is the place to be on September 30 and October 1. The Sixth Annual Granbury Paranormal Expo is free to the public and fun for the whole family!
