Get Moving In Granbury
Featuring water sports, parks, trails and a winery, Granbury is the ideal destination for outdoor fun. Lace up your hiking boots, hitch up your boat, practice your golf swing and round up your family and friends: Granbury enjoys a near overabundance of outdoor and family-friendly fun. Thanks to its location on Lake Granbury and its proximity to golf courses, trails, a nature center and parks, there’s never a dull moment.
A Living Texas Landscape Painting
The city center is surrounded by the picturesque landscape that Texas is known for, including Lake Granbury, wineries, a brewery, and the Acton Nature Center – where a monarch butterfly tagging event is held annually. Whether our visitors are interested in a wine and culinary tour, shopping and entertainment, or simply relaxing by the lake to watch the sunset, Granbury is the perfect North Texas setting.
Public Boat Ramps
If you own your own boat, head to the City Boat Ramp, located across the 377 Bridge. Open year-round, the no-fee ramp can launch up to three boats simultaneously. The City also maintains a boat ramp adjacent to the Granbury Resort Conference Center and City Beach Park.
The Brazos River Authority maintains additional boat ramps at Thorp Spring, Hunter Park, Rough Creek Park and DeCordova Bend Park.
