This is an annual event sponsored by the David Crockett Chapter of the Sons of The Republic of Texas. The 2026 presentation will include information about American Revolutionary War involvement by Spanish Tejas (now known as our Great State of Texas) and how Spain used Tejas resources and cattle from the San Antonio area to support the American colonists fighting the British for their independence. Presentation materials include that Spain was at war with England during the same time as the American Colonists were fighting he British, and Spain used its American Spanish Colony to help the colonists with cattle shipments to the colonists.
Our event will include display tables from both wars (early weapons, memorabilia, and other items), flag display from the American and Texas Revolutionary periods, members dressed in period clothing, and a free Constitutional booklet that includes the American and Texas Declarations of Independence and other historical documents for each family who attends our event.
