The first facility of its kind to have been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), Fossil Rim Wildlife Center participates in a worldwide network of wildlife conservation organizations working to restore the delicate balance between people, animals and the environment. Escape the everyday, and explore the rugged beauty of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Amidst the live oak thickets, limestone outcroppings, and stands of juniper; nestled away in the rustic hills of Somervell County, you will discover a sanctuary for endangered species. The goal is to promote the preservation and procreation of threatened/endangered species, environmental awareness, and provide a recreational and educational experience for people of all ages.
