Christmas Events to Delight Every Visitor and Local
Granbury’s calendar is packed with Christmas events that cater to all ages. One of the most anticipated events is the Night of Lights Christmas Parade, a joyful procession that brings the entire community together and officially kicks off the holiday season in our small town. On Friday after Thanksgiving, locals and tourists alike flock to the Granbury Square to experience the nighttime parade. Floats, marching bands, and even Santa Claus himself make their way through the streets, spreading holiday cheer to all who attend.
After the Parade, Santa and Mrs. Clause will mark their arrival in Granbury at the Santa House! Offering free photos with Santa all season long.
For those who love the reason for the season, the Nativity Display event is a must-see. This unique celebration features countless unique Nativity collectibles from around the globe, brought to life by local collectors. It’s a delightful way to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit during your trip to the historic downtown area. Additionally, The Promise in Glen Rose is a breathtaking outdoor production that shows the birth of Christ, complete with live animals.
Another highlight of the season is the Candlelight Tour of Homes. This cherished tradition allows visitors to step inside some of Granbury’s most beautiful historic homes, all decked out in their holiday best. The warm glow of candlelight, combined with festive decorations and the rich history of these homes, creates an unforgettable experience. You might see a few carolers on your stroll!
All of these downtown events are complete with a step back in time on a festive, traditional Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride! Take in the downtown sights and Christmas lights that surround the beautiful historic buildings.
